CALGARY, Alta. – Canada’s National Women’s Team travels south of the border to Denver, Colo. this weekend
to face off against the United States on Saturday, December 12 at Magness Arena (7 p.m. MT). The match-up is
the third of a six-game series between the international rivals leading up to the 2010 Olympic Winter Games
in Vancouver, B.C.

Canada defeated the United States in the first two games of the series, winning 3-1 on October 5 at the
Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre in Victoria, B.C. and earning a 5-2 victory on October 16 at Spokane Arena in
Spokane, Wash. The National Women’s Team also won gold in the 4 Nations Cup last month, beating the United
States 5-1 in the final game of the five-day tournament held in Finland.
In total, Canada’s record against the United States is 3-3 for the 2009-10 season. Canada also holds an
11-5 record in its ongoing NWT Midget Series, which has the centralized roster travelling across Alberta to
take on teams from the Alberta Midget Hockey League.
Canada and the United States will also face off at on Tuesday, December 15 at the Pengrowth Saddledome in
Calgary, Alta., (7:30 p.m. ET), on Wednesday, December 30 at the Xcel Energy Centre in St. Paul, Minn. (7
p.m. CT) and on Friday, January 1 at SBP Arena in Ottawa, Ont. (7 p.m. ET).
Tickets are currently on sale for December 15 in Calgary and range in price from $15-$25 each. They can be
