CALGARY, Alta. – Canada’s National Women’s Team will face the United States on Friday night in Spokane,
Wash., in the second game of a six-game series between the international rivals leading up to the 2010
Olympic Winter Games.
Canada defeated the United States 3-1 on Oct. 5 in Victoria, B.C. Since then, Canada’s National Women’s Team
has played three games against Midget AAA boys teams in Alberta, posting a 2-1 record in that span. So far
this season, Canada has posted a 7-1 mark against Midget AAA boys teams, and is 5-2 against international
competition, which includes a 1-2 mark versus the U.S.
Friday night’s game will not be televised in Canada. Fans can follow the action at www.hockeycanada.ca.

Canada’s National Women’s Team will play three games next week against Midget AAA boys teams, before
preparing for the 2009 4 Nations Cup. Canada will depart for that event on Oct. 28, with the tournament
